Ephania Lerutle is the executive secretary for the Foundation. She was born in Diepkloof, Soweto and started her schooling in Itsoseng Boarding Youth Centre, in the former Bophutathswana.  where she attended her primary school at Ramatlakana Primary School and proceeded to Baitshoki High School until standard 9 currently grade 11.  In 1991 she completed her matric at Robin Hood College.

She holds certificates in Office Administration, Public Relations and Public Management from Regenesys business school as well as New Management Programme from Wits Business School (WBS). She has worked in various capacities in the Gauteng provincial government, the National Department of Arts and Culture as well as Personal Assistant to the treasurer General of the ANC, Mr. Paul Mashatile.
